Product overview

Rawganique’s Handmade Organic Cotton Comforter is chemical-free and made entirely in the USA from certified organic cotton grown in the USA. This comforter is free from sweatshop labor, non-toxic, and suitable for vegans. It is made with 100 percent organic cotton, including the fill, organic cotton cover, and even the thread used to sew it together.

This comforter is available in Toddler, Twin, Twin XL, Double, Queen, King, and Cal King sizes ranging from $174 – $558. The fill is a single layer of hand-carded organic cotton batting quilted to a soft, smooth, organic cotton fabric casing. It is warm, cozy, and breathable, with a 4-season weight, making this comforter ideal for year-round use in most places in the US and Canada. In colder areas, this comforter can easily be paired with a blanket.

This cotton comforter is completely vegan and is made in USA from 100% USDA certified organic cotton ticking and casing. It is chemical-free, meaning no fire retardants, dioxin, or formaldehyde. The comforter is deliberately sized to fit snugly in a duvet cover, in order to prevent it from moving around and bunching.

This organic cotton duvet is not machine washable. Instead, air your duvet out for a couple of hours every month or so. As cotton tends to settle and flatten over time, you can fluff your duvet by putting it in the dryer on the coolest setting with a couple of new tennis balls. It is also recommended to use an organic duvet cover to protect the duvet and to keep the comforter away from moisture and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

Rawganique was founded in 1997 by off-grid homesteaders on Denman Island off the west coast of Canada. They have deliberately stayed small-scale over the last 20 years so as to preserve the integrity of their eco-friendly efforts. The company handcrafts products made with organic cotton, linen, and hemp, and maintains control of the purity and sustainability of their products by growing, weaving, knitting, and sewing most of them right on their homestead. The founders describe themselves as ‘chemically sensitive people’ who use only their own products because they can guarantee their purity.

Rawganique add that ‘vegan’ stamp to their products because they can guarantee ‘Zero animal testing. Zero animal cruelty. Zero slave labor. Zero sweatshop. We never have to test on animals because our organic products come from perfect natural fibers and can’t harm any animal or human!’

Rawganique Handmade 100% Organic Cotton Comforter vs. Coyuchi

Rawganique are market leaders in the eco-friendly organic bedding sector. They offer high quality, 100 percent organic bedding including this handmade cotton comforter that is ideal if you tend to sleep warm. If you’re looking for a little more warmth, try Rawganique’s wool comforters.
