The Blomberg BRFB1322SS is a 24-inch counter depth freestanding bottom-freezer refrigerator that is energy-efficient and free from ozone-depleting CFCs, HFCs, and greenhouse gases. Blomberg refrigerators are built with 99.9 percent lead-free materials and are manufactured with 85 percent recyclable components, which is what you’d expect from the winner of the ENERGY STAR® 2018 Partner of the Year—Product Brand Owner award.
This model boasts 11.1 cu. ft usable capacity (around 8 cu. ft in the refrigerator), 3 safety glass shelves and a crisper, 3 door racks and a wine rack and bottle gripper. It has a dual evaporator, LED interior lights, a digital display and electronic control panel inside the refrigerator. The freezer has auto defrost, an automatic (interior) ice maker, and 2 freezer drawers.
Thanks to the duo cycle cooling system in most Blomberg refrigerators, there is no air transfer between compartments, so food in the freezer section freezes faster, food in the refrigerator stay fresher longer, and odors don’t circulate. The independent temperature controls also allow you to maintain optimum temperature and humidity in fresh-food compartments for better energy efficiency and food preservation.
Blomberg 24 Inch vs. Bosch 500 Series
The Blomberg BRFB1322SS is an excellent choice for an energy-efficient 24-inch bottom-freezer refrigerator free from ozone-depleting CFCs, HFCs, and greenhouse gases. It has a little more usable capacity than the Bosch 500 series 24-inch model, but a little less than the Smeg refrigerator. Blomberg’s model does boast a range of modern features, however, and is manufactured with 85 percent recyclable components, giving it some serious eco-chops to rival those of Smeg and Bosch.
