I first became involved with Gene Food after using the product for myself, my family, and my patients. After seeing promising results, I reached out to John and learned we share a passion for the topic of cardiovascular health. Heart disease is still the number one killer of people in this country and I believe that many patients can benefit from adding personalized nutrition therapies to the standard medical care offered by their primary care physicians and cardiologists.
As a medical advisor at Gene Food, I bring 43 years of medical experience to the team. My goal is to help guide the development of the custom nutrition plan product and to oversee strategy for the content team to ensure we are producing best in class nutrition content that is in line with the latest peer reviewed research and medical consensus.
I am a Pittsburgh native and Magna Cum Laude graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a B. S in mathematics. I received my medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
My medical training was in General Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in New York City. Later, I pursued a career in the field of Emergency Medicine. I am an ABEM certified doctor. My current passion, as well as the focus of my medical practice, is helping patients improve healthspan and quality of life well into old age. I use the latest developments in science and medicine to craft personalized regimens for patients. Coupled with my interest in molecular genetics, I design programs of personalized medicine based on an individual’s genetics, integrating and balancing metabolic, lifestyle and other epigenetic modifications to help people transform and benefit from the latest findings to extend a healthy active lifestyle well into old age.
In short, I love helping people and am excited to be participating in the personalized health revolution.
